Neighborhood-level flood warnings 48 hours before the water.
What I’m building
FloodCast fuses satellite rainfall, river gauges, and terrain data to predict which specific streets will flood, then sends a plain-language SMS warning two days out — early enough to move a motorbike, a grandmother, a shop’s stock.
Why I’m building it
When I was nine the river came into our house at 3am with no warning. National forecasts say “the region may flood.” People need “your street, Thursday, move now.” That specificity is the whole thing.
What the tokens unlock
Credits pay for the GPU compute to run the hydrology model at street resolution and the model that turns a risk map into a warning a scared family can act on.
