Open Protein Atlas
An open map of neglected-disease proteins anyone can build on.

What I’m building
Open Protein Atlas runs structure prediction across the proteins of diseases the pharma industry ignores — because there’s no money in them — and releases every structure, openly, for any researcher to use. Think a public reference map for the diseases that mostly hurt the poor.
Why I’m building it
Compute decides which diseases get studied. Labs with big GPU budgets map profitable proteins; the rest go dark. Open science means the map belongs to everyone. A student in Nairobi should start where the frontier is, not from scratch.
What the tokens unlock
This is almost entirely compute. Pledged GPU credits run the folding predictions across thousands of proteins and re-run them as better models ship. Every result goes into the public database immediately.

Updates
1,100 structures released to the public DB
Two labs have already cited the early set. This is exactly why it’s open.
