What I’m building
OpenArm is a 3D-printable robotic arm that costs under $150 and learns to manipulate objects using an open vision-language-action model. Every part, every weight, every training pipeline is open — so a school or a hobbyist can have a capable robot, not a toy.
Why I’m building it
Real robotics education is gated behind $20,000 arms. I learned on junk I soldered myself. Imagine what people could learn if a genuinely capable arm cost less than a phone and the brain was free to download.
What the tokens unlock
Credits fund the simulation compute and GPU training to teach the arm grasping and simple tasks, plus the model runs that let it follow spoken instructions.
